President, Anticoagulation Forum
Founded over 20 years ago, the Anticoagulation Forum is the largest peer organization of anticoagulant service providers in North America. Our membership includes more than 6,000 physicians, nurses, and pharmacists representing over 2,000 anticoagulation services (clinics). Our members directly support over 750,000 patients annually. As the premier provider of education and the authoritative voice among anticoagulation professionals, the AC Forum offers insight and expertise to those on the front lines.
The AC Forum Board of Directors is regularly relied upon for their expert opinion. Their contributions to research and guideline development have influenced the new landscape of anticoagulation therapy. Our flagship program, the Anticoagulation Centers of Excellence, embodies our commitment to the clinical application of evidence-based practices and improved patient outcomes.
Our flagship program, the Anticoagulation Centers of Excellence, demonstrates our commitment to the clinical application of evidence-based practices and improved patient outcomes. This website consists of an expansive online resource library and self-assessment resource. The resource library is continually updated with new materials which reflect the changing landscape of anticoagulant therapies. The assessment provides practices with a road map to achieving excellence in their patient education and care.
A popular feature on the Centers of Excellence website is the Examples of Excellence. We are seeking specific, hands on examples from your practices of solutions to everyday obstacles to excellence in patient care. We ask that you submit a brief description of both the challenge and the solution that you have developed. If you prefer, we are happy to discuss your submission in an interview format, and we will then assist in writing the final piece. Please send submissions and inquiries to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The AC Forum continues to offer its popular Lunch & Learn Webinar series. The one hour webinars are led by AC Forum Co-Chairs, Dr. Scott Kaatz and Dr. Adam Cuker. It is our goal to present our members with topics which are both current and practice-changing. This often includes research which has just been published, and gives participants a rare opportunity to interact with the authors as well as members of our board of directors. After a brief review of the topic, attendees have the opportunity to interact with the panel and have immediate responses to their comments and questions. We welcome your suggestions for topics and papers at: email@example.com
The Anticoagulation Forum is pleased to host two upcoming Anticoagulation Boot Camps. These compact 2-day meetings provide a curriculum perfect for those new to the field of anticoagulation, looking for a refresher course or who are preparing for a certification exam. The curriculum will cover the essential aspects of anticoagulation, disease state, and drug management. Additional information is available at: acforumbootcamp.org
